I could tell from the moment she arrived for her photoshoot that Erkeda was a woman about her business. She came with one outfit on and the other draped over her arm. Talk about efficient! LOL During her photoshoot I learned that Erkeda had recently taken a sabbatical from her family medicine practice and was on a quest to find something new. She had a quiet demeanor, but was also full of life! We talked about her podcast, her new ventures, all of the people we knew in common wrapped up in a lot of laughs. Keep reading to learn more about her.

Where is your hometown and how long have you been in the DC metro area?
I am a Prince George’s County Native. I have lived in other places, but home always calls me back.

Are you a mother? If so, how old are your children?
I am not a mother yet.

Are you a business owner? If so, tell us what that business is and who it serves.
I own a small media business focusing on public speaking, podcasting, and writing on topics encompassing healthcare, leadership, and self empowerment.

All about Self-Love

When do you feel the most beautiful?
I feel the most beautiful when I am dressed well and well rested. I am a firm believer in dressing how you want to feel.  If you want to be a boss, dress like one.

Do you have a self-care routine? If so, what is it?
Self care is so important. I love to implement time for self care throughout every day, whether it be time for exercise or meditation versus a trip to get a massage or eyebrow maintenance.

What does being Fiercely Feminine mean to you?
Being fiercely feminine doesn’t mean being a girly girl. It means being a champion of women. Fierce femininity is all about rooting for all women to win by being uniquely themselves.

What is a goal you have been working on?
I have been working on taking more time for myself.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t let your ice cream melt while your counting someone else’s sprinkles 😉

Finish the statement – I am a woman who…
wants us all to win!
