30 days of Beautiful:
bianca

Bianca was the first person to have her portrait photography session for the 30 Days of Beautiful campaign.

During her pre-shoot consultation, I learned that Bianca was a former pageant girl. For years she wore formal gowns and many people knew her as such, so for her 30 Days of Beautiful session she didn’t want to wear a gown or formal wear.

Bianca stated she wanted to go for a regal look and had the idea of the popular tv show, Bridgerton as her inspiration for her look.

After the first look, Bianca informed me that she had another look she wanted to play with and pulled out a black satin fabric. We quickly found a way to drape the fabric, added some accessories and created a completely different look from the first.

I feel the most beautiful when I have my hair done, light makeup, clear skin, and most importantly, feeling peace and light on the inside. It radiates through and I love it!

My self-care routine has evolved this year to include a detailed daily skincare routine and more time to myself to read and imagine.

6. What does being Fiercely Feminine mean to you?
Being Fiercely Feminine means defining femininity for yourself and leaning into that despite what society expects. We all have our own definitions and manifestations of femininity that are unique to us and for us and that also evolve as we evolve. What’s important is that it feeds us and fits us and the fierceness allows us to embrace whatever that means to each woman.

SETTING GOALS AND PAST REFLECTIONS

Staying physically fit and healthy after an injury. It’s been tough to find new ways to be active but it’s a challenge I’m facing straight on!

I am proud of myself for placing 1st Runner Up at the Ms. Black USA pageant a few years ago. I honestly did not expect to place and it’s an experience I still reflect on in awe.

Never let anyone make a decision for you. Make decisions with confidence—- you can almost make another.
