30 days of Beautiful:
Khia

I was surprised when Khia applied to have her portrait photography session for the 30 Days of Beautiful campaign.

Khia is a former client of mine and had just taken family images less than 3 months before the campaign opened up.

However, during her pre-shoot consultation she confided in me that she never had a portrait photography session for just her and that she needed this experience. She was in a transitional period as a new mom, suffered two losses in her family back to back, started in a new career and just recently chopped off all of her hair!

You know they say that a woman that cuts her hair is about to change her life. So we were excited for her portrait photography experience in the 30 Days of Beautiful campaign.

I feels most beautiful when I wake up. Seeing myself after resting give me a boost. There is something about a fresh face that makes me feel like I look my best. Good morning gorgeous 😍

Currently I don’t have a self care routine. Being a new mom, I’m trying to find balance. This is definitely something I need to prioritize.

Acknowledging that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, being confident and knowing that I can overcome any obstacle that comes my way with God!

SETTING GOALS AND PAST REFLECTIONS

Really honing in on my craft, interior decorating as I would love to start my business and transition into full time entrepreneurship.

I’m most proud of the fact that I have tried new things. I am very much a creature of habit and it’s hard for me to change things up. Recently, I transition out of a workplace that was very comfortable to me but I wasn’t growing. I knew that and I was absolutely terrified to move on. Having people in your corner to cheer you on is priceless and ultimately that gave me the confidence to move into a role that was literally made for me.

You. Are. Enough!

Running my light construction company and interior decorating business full time as well as living part time in the Virgin Islands where my husband’s family owns land.

Loves to love, nurtures healthy relationships, cares and wants the best for myself and others. I am a woman that is determined to live and thrive in every aspect of life. I am her. I am she. I am me.
